The Stimulus Bill

According to a recent poll, just 6% of people think the economic stimulus bill created any jobs.  In fact, it has created at least 1.6 million jobs thus far, and likely closer to 3 million.  See here.
 
In related news, Think Progress finds that over half of Republican lawmakers in Congress voted against the economic stimulus bill yet have tried to claim credit for projects funded by it in their districts.
 
So let me get this straight.  Republicans irresponsibly voted lock-step against the stimulus bill at the very moment our economy was collapsing, continue to claim the stimulus is not working despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, yet take credit for projects funded by the stimulus in their own districts.  Oy vey.
